5th Annual Young Writers Night on Thursday April 3rd

Rochester Writers Night Host Pat O'Brien presents the 5th annual Young Writers Night on Thursday  April 3rd.  This night is reserved for area high school students.  Students from Spaulding High School in Rochester, Nute High School in Milton, as well as home schooled students have been invited.  The event takes place from 6 to 8 PM at the Portable Pantry on 12 Hanson St. in Rochester.  Eleven area students have pre-registered, and walk-in students will also be given an opportunity to read for this event.

Rochester Writers Night is well-attended by area writers, and there will be a full house.  Students who are writers of poetry, prose or music will have the opportunity to perform their original work to a listening audience.  Sign-ups start at 6, and the program begins at 6:15.  All students will get a 5-minute time slot, and will be given priority at the time of sign-ups.  Adult writers are more than welcome, and will be accommodated if time allows.  However, the focus of the evening is our young writers, and everyone is welcome to come and listen. Our evening usually ends around 8 PM, and everyone who signs up gets a chance to read.

The Pantry serves award-winning food in a cozy bistro atmosphere.  There is always a variety of soups and sandwiches, in addition to delicious desserts.  Every effort is made to provide seating for everyone, but space is limited, so come in early.

Please come and listen, and enjoy some of the Pantry’s great food, and you can BYOB.  Enjoy our warm, cozy evening as we say goodbye to February (and good riddance!) and welcome in March and the possibility of spring....bring your writing to share!

Hope to see you there!
