Thursday, March 6: Rochester Writer's Night

Our next Rochester Writers Night takes place on Thursday March 6th at the Portable Pantry on 12 Hanson St. in Rochester.  Sign-ups begin at 6 PM.  Our feature performer begins at 6:15, after which we take a short break and then start the open mic portion of our program.  Writers of poetry, prose, or music are encouraged to perform their original work to a listening audience.  There is a 5-minute limit per participant with extra slots if time allows.  Our evening usually ends around 8 PM, and everyone who signs up gets a chance to read.

Host, Pat O'Brien, introduces a reader to the eager crowd at a recent Writer's Night.
The Pantry serves award-winning food in a cozy bistro atmosphere.  There is always a variety of soups and sandwiches, in addition to delicious desserts.  Every effort is made to provide seating for everyone, but space is limited, so come in early.

Our March feature is Sherry Lester.  Sherry is a frequent contributor to our Writers Night, and hopes to have her new book available for that evening.  She writes poetry and essays, many of which are introspective, and written in the common language of life.  Sherry puts her learning experiences down on paper, and shares deeply and with conviction.

Please come and listen, and enjoy some of the Pantry’s great food, and you can BYOB.  Enjoy our warm, cozy evening as we say goodbye to February (and good riddance!) and welcome in March and the possibility of spring....bring your writing to share!

Hope to see you there!
